Harper County

Located 45 minutes southwest of Wichita, Harper County is a vibrant community of about 5,600 people, living in safe and clean rural towns, with a surprisingly diverse local economy. The population includes an educated and productive workforce, with home-town values and a superior work ethic.

The County boasts a large and diversified manufacturing base of more than 20 firms, ranging in size from several employees to over 100.

In 2019, the new 62,500 square-foot $40 million Patterson Health Center opened in Harper County with the goal of transforming the landscape of rural healthcare. The health center employs over 150 people and includes a 16-bed critical-access hospital, health clinic, physical therapy and rehabilitation center, and a wellness center.

While Harper County is valued for its country roads, wooded streams, and the abundant wildlife of the Kansas prairie, it’s only a short drive to four-lane interstate highways, Wichita’s Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport and world-class universities.
